Hang from coin slot.
Insert the end of Coinzy into the machine's quarter coin slot, then simply allow the can to hang. The machine supports the can through the Coinzy clip.

Play pinball.
When you're ready to move, lift the can to take the load off Coinzy and pull it straight out of the coin slot. Keep Coinzy attached and move to the next game.

Important: Coinzy is made to hold your can from the coin slot - not to be used as a carrying handle. Lift and carry the can itself rather than lifting the can by Coinzy.
Why it may pop off when someone tests it by lifting the clip
If you pick the can up by Coinzy itself and shake it around, Coinzy can pop free. That is expected. Coinzy is designed to release when lifted that way.
In actual use, the can hangs from the coin slot instead of being lifted by the clip. That hanging weight reinforces the lock on the tab, which is why Coinzy holds differently in use than it does in a shake test.
Rare compatibility exceptions & coin restrictors
Why would a slot not fit?
Coinzy is designed around the standard U.S. quarter coin slot. A small number of machines use coin slots made for other currencies, such as euros, or for larger arcade tokens. Those slots may be too tall to hold Coinzy correctly.
This is uncommon, and it is easily fixed. You are most likely to see it on older games that were set up for token arcades and no longer accept quarters, or on imported games from other countries.
The easy fix
A Coinzy coin restrictor converts a taller slot to a standard quarter-size opening. Quarters still pass through normally, so the restrictor can remain installed on a U.S. machine as a permanent solution.
Installation takes less than five seconds: simply push the restrictor into the coin slot. No tools and no machine modification are required.
Install it in seconds. Leave it there - or take it back out.
The restrictor can be used permanently, but it is not permanent. If you ever want to remove it, grip it with needle-nose pliers and pull it back out. It does not damage or alter the machine.
